About Dwane Booysen
To say that I grew up in an adventurous family is an understatement. I am proud to say that I am a third generation professional hunter. I was born on a cattle farm in Swaziland and later relocated with my father Andre, mother Lee and sister Caleche to Mbombela in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa.
As well as being a Sugar Cane farmer, my father, Andre Booysen and CEO of Mdunza Safaris, was also a professional hunter, Outfitter and owner of a training college for prospective young hunters. My father hunted with great professional hunters such as Bob Smith, Dave Bahl, Nels Anderson, Jerry Maash and Richard Wacker. He was introduced 40 years prior to hunting by my grandfather, Bill, who was also a prolific hunter.
I started hunting with my dad at the tender age of seven and it has been my passion ever since. After graduating from college I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a Professional Hunter and Outfitter. I manage the company from our family lodge, Paindaine Beach Resort located in Mozambique.
I am also an avid angler. I inherited my love for deep sea and freshwater fishing from my father, grandfather and mom Lee, the first female skipper in South Africa at age 16. Both my dad and granddad achieved Springbok status. My grandfather held the world record for over 20 years for a yellow finned Tuna of 15kg (line class) at a weight of 240 lbs.
I am blessed to be able to offer my clients both hunting and fishing facilities. Booysen Safaris is first and foremost about pursuing ones’ passion for hunting in Africa; South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and many more of our neighbours.
